Scott Schiffgens is the Information Technology Director at Burns White LLC. He provides leadership for the Firm’s information technology and security strategy and operations. Scott partners with the Firm’s leadership and management to align technology with the Firm’s goals, objectives and operations.
Scott has over 20 years of experience in information technology, information security, governance, risk and compliance. Prior to joining Burns White, Scott spent five years in a similar role as the Director of Information Technology of another mid-sized law firm. Before joining the legal industry, Scott served as Manager, Information Technology Risk Advisory Services for KPMG, where he provided information governance, risk and compliance audit and advisory services to clients across verticals including financial services, manufacturing, retail and higher education. Scott also served as Director, Information Technology for La Roche College.
Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree from La Roche College, and obtained certification as an information security manager (CISM) through Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Additionally, he was a 2018 finalist for the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s CIO of the Year, Megabyte Division.
