In charge of the firm’s Legal Project Management (LPM) program ClientSync and the Compass budget tracking tool, Angie leads McGuireWoods’ commitment to incorporate LPM in our attorneys’ practices. She trains and assists attorneys on the use of LPM concepts and the supporting tools developed by McGuireWoods to efficiently and predictably manage matters. In this role, Angie communicates with the firm’s attorneys, business development team, finance department and clients to handle our client and attorney legal project management needs, and she oversees the budgeting, tracking and management of legal matters.
With extensive prior firsthand experience in budgeting, managing and overseeing complex litigation matters for a variety of clients, she also assists our clients in developing their own legal project management initiatives. Angie is Yellow Belt-certified in Legal Lean Sigma and Project Management, and she has attended numerous legal project management workshops.
In addition to her leadership roles with the firm, Angie practices law in the area of business and securities litigation. She has a broad litigation practice, with particular emphasis on financial services and class action litigation, and she advises clients on matters involving business and consumer credit disputes.
As the Charlotte office pro bono co-coordinator, Angie serves as liaison between the firm and nonprofit organizations in the Charlotte area. This enables firm attorneys to donate their services to their local community through organizations such as Legal Aid, Legal Services of Southern Piedmont, Council for Children’s Rights, and Safe Alliance.
Angie started her legal career practicing securities and business litigation for four years at a large global firm in New York. While earning her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, Angela was an extern to the Honorable W. Earl Britt of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
