Jon has over 15 years of experience in information security, risk management, governance and compliance. Skilled at building information security and IT risk management programs from inception, he successfully fostered paradigm shifts in higher education, financial services and legal verticals to instill an information security mindset across all levels of an organization and improve their security postures. Jon holds several security certifications, including the C|CISO, CISM and CISSP, and he has a proven track record of leveraging ISO 27001, NIST and FISMA.
Joy Heath Rush is the Chief Executive Officer of The International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), an organization that serves more than 24,000 international legal technology professionals in their support of the practice of law. As Chief Executive Officer, Joy oversees ILTA’s operations, a global network of volunteer leaders, and a professional staff of more than 30 employees.
Joy has spent virtually her entire career supporting lawyers and technologists in the practice of law, and she has deep familiarity with the complexities our member firms and organizations face in today’s vastly shifting and dynamically changing marketplace. She has worked at global law firm Sidley Austin LLP as well as Litera Microsystems in executive roles. She has a long history of leadership in peer networking groups associated with legal technology. Joy has had the opportunity to speak and write on a wide array of technology sessions, in CIO and leadership roundtables and talent management topics at legal events, including ILTACON, ABA Tech Show, Legal Tech NY, Legal Tech West Coast, ABA Law Practice Management, DRI, ALA, NALP, and ARMA, among others.
John is a visionary, forward thinker and thought leader specializing in content strategy, crisis and litigation communications, and social influencer relations. He has been called a “superstar,” “PR whiz” and “top media relations pro” by PR News, Law Practice Management, and PRWeek magazines.
Ed specializes in cloud solutions. He meets with customers to discuss business requirements and map them to the Microsoft platform. Ed has presented at Tech Ed and the SharePoint Conference and for local user groups, and he has published several advanced SharePoint developer books through Apress. Ed's previous experiences include high school teacher, government contractor and lead developer.

Rina carries out data governance attorney responsibilities and leads a team focused on global information governance (IG), which includes law, security, privacy, technology, information management and records, ethics, and risk and compliance. She helps bridge these silos and translates the technical languages in each one. Rina develops firmwide strategy, policies and training related to IG issues. Previously, Rina was a litigation associate at Skadden.

Gregory received a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University and Master of Arts in psychology from Governor's State University. He has been active in cybersecurity for over 15 years. Gregory is a member of the Chicago Electronic Crimes Taskforce and Infragard. His areas of expertise are intrusion prevention and digital forensics.

Peter came to the legal industry in 2000 from Citibank, where he was consecutively the vice president of process re-engineering and director of ecommerce technology. Peter also served as a research scientist for 13 years for the Department of Defense, where he designed knowledge management and command and control systems using artificial intelligence and neural network technologies, in addition to initiating the first programs in defensive information warfare. The focus of his career is to create nonlinear advantages for information consumers.

Brent manages the firm’s information security and governance program, working with clients and others to implement robust strategies and controls designed to protect client and firm data. He helps clients proactively prepare for electronic discovery and reactively implement strategies and plans for collecting, processing, analyzing and producing data in litigation. Brent is also a partner at the firm.
Security Awareness Advocate
Erich is a veteran information security professional with over 20 years’ experience in the medical, aerospace manufacturing and defense fields. He is the former security manager for the 2nd Regional Cyber Center-Western Hemisphere and holds CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, MCITP and ITIL v3 certifications, among others. Erich has worked with information security professionals around the world to provide the tools, training and educational opportunities to succeed in InfoSec.
Peter has been with the FBI since 1998. From 1998 to 2005, he worked at the FBI’s Washington field office in the areas of Cuban counterintelligence and counterespionage. Notably, he was the co-case agent on the Ana Belen Montes espionage investigation. Montes, who was a senior Cuba analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency, was arrested on September 21, 2001 for being an agent of the Cuban Intelligence Service for 16 years. She is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence.
From 2005 to 2008, Peter was assigned to the FBI’s Baltimore division, where he worked a variety of counterintelligence issues. In 2008, Peter was promoted to serve as a program manager of economic espionage investigations. In 2010, he became unit chief of the counterespionage section's economic espionage unit and then chief of the espionage unit. Peter spent over two years assigned to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as a senior advisor on homeland security and law enforcement for the Office of Partner Engagement. In 2015, he served as the chief of the active shooter unit then returned to the Washington field office to work on strategic partner programs. Prior to joining the FBI, Peter was a police officer in southeastern Pennsylvania.
He has three children and is a part–time acoustic guitar player and singer at local wineries and breweries in Loudoun County.

Don joined Digital Defense in April 2007, bringing with him over 25 years of corporate IT and IT consulting experience.

Tim is a veteran of the networking security and infrastructure space. He spent 14 years at Juniper Networks as the federal systems engineering director before coming to Lookout in December 2014. Prior to Juniper, Tim held various roles at General Dynamics, and NET. He also served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force. In his current role at Lookout, Tim helps customers understand the mobile security threat landscape and how to address those threats.

Peter Lesser is the Director of Global Technology at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he has worked since 2006. He is responsible for the Firm's technology strategy, planning and implementation and oversees applications and user support, business systems, infrastructure and operations, security and development.
As a result of Peter's commitment and service to the Legal Aid Society of New York in 2006 and 2015 he received their Pro Bono Service Award.
Prior to joining Skadden Arps, Peter helped to create Kraft Kennedy & Lesser, Inc, a systems integration and consulting firm specializing in the legal community. Peter spent 18 years at KKL and served as the firm's Managing Partner.
Peter is a 1985 graduate of Brown University (Magna Cum Laude) with a degree in Computer Science.

Dean Leung has served over the past 19 years contributing to the wealth and depth of ILTA thought leadership in a variety of ways. He has had a long tenure as an ILTA member, officer, volunteer and most recently, business partner. In each capacity, he’s been honored with the privilege and deemed it a priority to volunteer time and resources to furthering the ILTA values and mission.
Presently, he serves in two volunteer capacities: ILTA Partner Advisory Council (Member-at-Large since 2017) and ILTA Knowledge Advisor (since 2015). Each of these roles affords him the opportunity to network with peers, influence the ILTA platform and community experience and drive thought leadership not only from his own point of view, but from that of other law firm leaders and technology solution providers.
Dean currently serves as the inaugural Chief Customer Success Officer at iManage and his extensive experience includes roles as a CIO for an AmLaw50 firm and former head of IT for a Canadian firm.

Skip Lohmeyer is Parker Poe’s chief information officer. He has more than two decades of executive experience with law firm information technology. He has also worked as an IT professional in the manufacturing industry, been an adjunct professor, and is a U.S. Army veteran.
Skip holds BS and MBA degrees and several technical and industry certifications, such as Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CCNA, PMP, A+, Network+, and Security+. He is a regular speaker and author on trends in the legal IT industry. He has served as the chair of conference committees and as a board member for an international association.

Ian provides clients insight and a breadth of knowledge and expertise accumulated from two decades of work as a national and international reporter specializing in legal affairs, law enforcement, politics, legislation, terrorism and conflict, and the U.S. defense and intelligence establishment. He has worked for top-tier news outlets in the United States and abroad, including CNN, the Fox News Channel, United Press International, McClatchy Newspapers and Congressional Quarterly. Ian is a successful entrepreneur who formed and operated his own consultancy prior to joining LEVICK, and he has also worked in U.S. government service, as the senior spokesman for the criminal division at the Department of Justice, as a senior counsel to the division’s assistant attorney general and as a national intelligence specialist. Ian specializes in reputation management, risk mitigation, crisis communications, wide-ranging investigations, political intelligence services and other related disciplines and capabilities.

Michael is responsible for managing the firm’s information governance group, which includes the information protection and privacy department and the information management department. His team is also responsible for negotiating contracts with Littler’s various vendors. Previously, Michael was a managing director for a global financial services firm with responsibility for a group of lawyers supporting various corporate functions, including information technology, human resources, procurement, facilities and information security. He was also responsible for building information systems to support the global legal department. Before that, Michael was a partner in the litigation and corporate departments at a Minneapolis firm, focusing his practice on the legal issues arising from the intersection of technology and law, including electronic discovery, information security and privacy and internet issues.

Arlan is responsible for firmwide cybersecurity, physical security, investigative services and business continuity management. He joined Kirkland from United Airlines, where he was the chief information security officer and HIPAA security officer. Arlan has over 20 years of experience working in information security and technology and is currently the Legal Sector Deputy Chief for the FBI-Infragard Midwest chapter.

A 20+ year veteran of the legal industry and ILTA, she is a certified Change Management Practitioner and has worked with firms across the country to implement change management strategies in a variety of initiatives, from introducing new policies to redesigning job roles to implementing information security safeguards.
