Caroline Sweeney has overall accountability for the development, implementation and operation of Dorsey's firm-wide Knowledge Management function, LegalMine Managed Services, eDiscovery services, trial technology support and innovation efforts. Caroline is also a member of Dorsey’s Electronic Discovery Practice Group and the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Social Media Practice Group

As Director of Knowledge Management & Innovation, Caroline is responsible for driving business efficiencies through the use of technologies and content management systems to achieve improved delivery of client services and easy access to information and firm expertise.  In addition, the KM Department drives new revenue and strengthens client relationships through the delivery of new tools and services.  While technology plays a key role in driving efficiency, we also strive for innovative ways to deliver services to clients.

Caroline is actively involved in the e-discovery community. She is ACEDs certified and currently Co-President of the Twin Cities ACEDs chapter. In addition, Caroline is a current member of The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production and recently joined the Sedona Conference Technology Resource Panel. She is an active member of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and is a past co-chair of the Minnesota E-Discovery Project Working Group 5 on Use of Technology to Facilitate Production of E-Discovery. She has served on a number of e-discovery vendors’ client advisory boards and has experience with a wide array of e-discovery processing and review platforms.

In addition to various software certifications, Caroline has received additional certifications in the areas of Legal Project Management and records and information management, and is also listed in Strathmore’s Who’s Who. She has participated as a presenter and faculty member at various conferences on litigation support and E-discovery, is a current CGOC faculty member, and is a former instructor of “Computers in the Law” at the Minnesota Legal Assistant Institute. In the early 1990s, she was a co-founder of the Minnesota Association of Litigation Support Managers.

Mike leads the development and delivery of consulting services included in Traveling Coaches’ Springboard Elevated Learning Programs. He uses his experience in leading global training teams and his vision for innovative learning to consult with law firms on ways to redesign their learning programs, including training staff development, online and distance learning, content development, and effective uses of new delivery techniques that leverage learning and development best practices. Mike is an avid researcher, presenter and author and was a 2015 finalist for ILTA's Vendor Thought Leader of the Year and 2016 finalist for the Innovative Consultant award. Prior to joining Traveling Coaches, Mike was the technology training manager at WilmerHale, an Am Law 20 firm. Mike’s success there was recognized by his peers in the International Legal Technology Association who awarded him the 2014 Technology Advocacy Professional of the Year.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Raul Taveras joined Fish & Richardson’s Boston IT Department in 2007 as a contractor, and in his first week was quickly promoted to project lead on a firm-wide PC rollout, traveling to all offices to lead the upgrade. Shortly after, Raul joined the firm full-time and expanded his role from IT Support, to Trainer, to Business Analyst, and then to Business Solutions Architect focused in the Litigation practice. In 2014, the firm announced the creation of an administrative hub in Twin Cities and Raul accepted a promotion and relocated to Minneapolis as Manager of IT Application Projects. He led a small team of QA staff and workflow engineers. Raul soon after accepted a position as Manager of Litigation Technology Solutions where he has been leading numerous litigation technology initiatives as well as promoting legal project management and process improvement. Raul has a bachelors in Computer Science, is Scrum Master Certified, and a green belt in Lean Six Sigma. Along with his normal duties, Raul has been active in the firm supporting their work with the Boston Debate League acting as a volunteer judge, doing translation work for pro bono matters for the Kids in Need of Defense organization, and is the Boston's office reigning ping-pong champion.

His background in technology began in the early 1980s, developing applications in BASIC on the first personal computers. He is a Microsoft enthusiast and an avid speaker and writer in the IT community. Prior to Acrowire, Ted held a number of leadership roles at Bank of America and Microsoft, gaining expertise in corporate audits, consumer risk management, global anti-money laundering and product development. Ted is certified in DFSS and as a Black Belt and is a Microsoft Certified Professional and Certified Scrum Master.

Jack Thompson is a corporate eDiscovery and Legal Operations professional, specializing in the efficiency advancement of legal technical operations and information governance. From 2001 through 2014, Jack was the legal operations manager at Purdue Pharma LP in Stamford, CT providing services and solutions to Purdue’s legal technology operations as well as leading the company’s legal analytics programs. In 2014, Jack relocated to Atlanta, GA to work as the legal technology manager for the UPS Corporate Legal Department, followed by working as an IT Business Services Manager for The Coca Cola Company’s global legal department providing technical expertise and process workflow implementations. Jack is currently working as the eDiscovery Manager and Legal Operations Lead for Sanofi US, located in Bridgewater, NJ specializing in international eDiscovery management, legal technology operations, and information governance policy development and management.

In addition, Jack is the International Legal Technology Association’s Program Council lead for law department relationships and programming, faculty of The Electronic Discovery Institute, and a contributing member of the ACC Legal Operations group.

Matt leads Elevate’s Legal Business Solutions and US consulting practice focused on design, development and delivery of practical solutions to help corporate law departments and government agencies manage their legal operations and reduce legal spend, and help law firms improve profitability through use of value-based pricing (AFAs) and project management. Matt previously served as Executive Director and Global Head of Legal Business Solutions for JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he managed legal department operations, including the selection and spend management of outside counsel and other legal service providers, as well as the creation and implementation of strategic cost and relationship management programs. Prior to his time at JPMorgan Chase, Matt served in a senior management role with law firm Reed Smith, where he oversaw the firm’s knowledge management initiatives and the creation of the team responsible for legal project management and alternative fees, and with WilmerHale, where he served as Managing Director, Information and Research Services. Matt was previously the CTO/CKO of LawPort and prior to that a practicing solicitor for a London-based law firm.

Michael has more than 15 years’ experience in web technologies in the legal industry. He has primary responsibilities for enterprise search, collaboration systems, document assembly, SharePoint, and various other web applications. Additionally, Michael works with practice groups and departments across the firm to develop strategic initiatives to support legal business development efforts and client solutions by leveraging these technologies and creating new platforms to support the practice of law. He earned his bachelor’s degree at California State San Marcos in Business Administration with an emphasis on High Tech Management. Phil has over a decade of legal technology experience and has been using open source software since the beginning of his career, including building highly-flexible and low cost network monitoring and spam filtering solutions for both small and large firms. Wei Tschang is a senior manager at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. He has more than 20 years of experience spanning many information technology disciplines within banking, legal, and manufacturing. He serves on the Threat Intelligence Committee (TIC) as Secretary for the Legal Services Information Sharing & Analysis Organization (LS-ISAO).


He is an active board member of the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter since 2013 serving currently as the Second Vice President.

Julian Tsisin manages various Legal Technology initiatives at Google. As part of his role, he is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting systems that improve efficiencies within Google’s Legal Department. Prior to Google, Julian worked in a similar capacity at Disney and as a software engineer for a large international law firm. He is active in the Legal Technology community and is very interested in application of machine learning to the Legal domain. Julian holds a MS in Computer Engineering and a JD.
