Cindy Thurston Bare is the Vice President of Product Management for Foundation Software Group. She helps law firms leverage firm intelligence using the Foundation platform. She offers practical expertise about how firms can use data for better client outcomes, marketing, business development, client intelligence, pricing, staffing, and knowledge sharing. Cindy has 20 years of experience leading people and projects at large, international law firms. She was previously the Director of Knowledge Management at Orrick, a firm known for innovation and collaboration, where she led the firm’s experience project, intranet redesign, and extranet strategy. She is also a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner. Cindy is a frequent speaker on innovation, knowledge management, and marketing technology, including change management and adoption. E.J. Bastien is the Principal eDiscovery Program Manager in Microsoft’s Litigation, Competition, and Compliance Group, where he manages the team of individuals responsible for the technical aspects of discovery for the company’s active docket. During his 12 years there, he has been an integral part of the small team responsible for re-envisioning Microsoft’s approach to eDiscovery from the ground up, defining the internal processes for the identification, preservation, and collection of ESI, and shepherding it through the stages of processing, analytics, and review. He partners closely with Microsoft’s product development teams, planning and testing the platforms’ eDiscovery feature sets, and ensuring the company’s legal processes evolve in step with the technology it creates.

After leading a prominent global law firm for a quarter century, Ralph Baxter has turned his attention to a diverse set of activities, across the spectrum of the evolving legal profession.  He aims to be a catalyst for progress in the way legal service is delivered. Nancy Beauchemin, CRM founded InOutsource in 2002, in direct response to law firms’ need for in-depth records management and information governance consulting. With more than 20 years of experience working with law firms, Nancy understands the challenges legal organizations face with their information management and business intake processes. These include rising costs, new technologies, changing legal statutes and general risk issues. Her proprietary methodology is based on the knowledge that law firms have differing approaches to taking on new business and managing client matter information and addresses all aspects of managing client matter information regardless of form. She frequently speaks to legal professional groups on the risk and ethical issues of managing law firm information and records and has authored several articles on the topic. In addition to her Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, Beauchemin holds the prestigious Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation from the Institute of Certified Records Managers.
Senior Manager - IT Business Analysis & Project Management Fish & Richardson P.C.

Jennifer has worked for Fish & Richardson since 2002 and possesses 15 years of legal technology experience. As the Senior Manager of IT Project Management and Business Analysis, she oversees various projects including enterprise, custom development, third party product, workflow automation and SharePoint. Her teams supply the project management, business analysis, quality assurance and training and development functions with the firm. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Development from the University of Minnesota, is a Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds other various certifications. She was the recipient of ILTA’s 2010 Project Management Champion award and Minneapolis Lawyer's 2014 Legal Unsung Hero award. Jennifer’s passion is driving efficiency through the combination of business and technology.

Senior Dir., Legal Operations Centene Corporation

Kevin joined WellCare as Senior Director, Legal Operations in October 2017.  In this role, Kevin partners with the GC to develop the long-term strategy for the legal department and align the team and resources against these goals.  Kevin and his team have primary responsibility for financial performance, technology, process and productivity as well as outside provider management for the Legal Department.

Prior to joining WellCare, Kevin was the Director, eDiscovery at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), a franchisee of Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, TX, MT, NM, and OK.  In this role, Kevin oversaw the management of all eDiscovery activities including the implementation of legal hold and document review applications.  Externally, Kevin manages eDiscovery for all litigation matters including document preservation and collection strategies.  During his time at HCSC, Kevin supervised HCSC’s discovery activities in the largest multi-district litigation in the country.

In addition to his eDiscovery responsibilities, Kevin directed HCSC Information Governance program.  In this capacity, Kevin worked with key stakeholders, including Information Technology, to ensure records retention requirements were known and incorporated into new and existing applications within the company.  As part of this role, Kevin led the Legal and Information Governance workstream during the six-month implementation of Microsoft Office 365.

Previous to HCSC, Kevin managed the eDiscovery functions at two international law firms, McDermott, Will & Emery and Winston & Strawn. In these roles, Kevin oversaw the litigation support teams whose role it was to process, analyze and host data for the firms’ corporate clients.  Kevin also maintained consulting responsibilities for firm clients participating in meet & confer conferences and drafting best practices for eDiscovery activities.

Over his career, Kevin has been a frequent speaker at regional and national eDiscovery conferences, including the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), the Georgetown Advanced eDiscovery Institute, and the Masters Conference.

Kevin graduated from Princeton University with a Politics degree.

CEO Smooth Sailing Solutions
Matt spent 13 years in BigLaw IT and Information Security before founding Smooth Sailing Solutions in 2017. In his current role, Matt blends administrative and cultural policies with technical controls to build effective security and privacy programs and promoting self-managed risk and privacy programs for small businesses. Matt also works with the broader business community, speaking and writing on security and privacy issues. He rejects scare tactics, instead providing proactive steps to shed light on risk and opportunity. In his spare time, as the company name hints, he sails things.

Cora Belfiore is the Director of IT Operations at Winston & Strawn LLP with over 20 years of experience in information technology, service delivery, and infrastructure support.   Areas of responsibility include technical support services, desktop support, network operations, and multimedia collaboration for 2,000 customers across 18 offices.

As the Firm's first Chief Knowledge Officer, Mr. Benamram provides White & Case strategic direction on knowledge management and technology and leads the Knowledge Management department in developing and implementing the systems and processes that enable the Firm to use its collective knowledge to benefit its clients worldwide.

Prior to joining White & Case in late 2008, Mr. Benamram was Firmwide Director of Knowledge Management and Head of the Israel Desk at Morrison & Foerster. He formed and led the Firm's knowledge management department and helped represent Israeli businesses in the United States and Asia, as well as global investors in Israel.

Mr. Benamram received his BA in Economics from Tel Aviv University Faculty of Social Sciences, magna cum laude, and his LLB from the Tel Aviv University Law School in 1995. He served as Chairman of the Law School Student Council, helped to establish and volunteered in the Tel Aviv University Civil Rights Clinic and received the Law School dean's fellowship for his social involvement. Mr. Benamram was a Major in the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as a Tank Company Commander.

With more than two decades of hands-on experience in implementing collaborative client/outside counsel solutions, Global Legal Ebilling founder Jane A. Bennitt is a subject matter expert in the creation and deployment of collaborative case management, ebilling and contract management solutions. Jane’s specialty is global ebilling. Jane works with law departments, insurance claims organizations, law firms and vendors needing assistance with requirements gathering around workflow and business processes, compliance concerns, designing and implementing automated solutions, data availability and quality, and creating metrics to support business process improvement. Prior to forming GLE, Jane was a Manager with Hildebrandt Baker Robbins. Previously she was the Director of Data Services at TyMetrix where she was the company’s first employee. During her tenure at TyMetrix, Jane was directly responsible for or assisted in creating many of the systems and processes which led to the incredible success of TyMetrix in its first decade, including, most notably, developing the business model used today for legal ebilling. In 2016 Jane returned as President of the LEDES Oversight Committee, a position she filled previously for eight years. She also has filled the roles of Vice President, Treasurer and Membership and since 2014 is webmaster for the web sites maintained by the LEDES Oversight Committee (ledes.org and utbms.com). She is the principal author of the LEDES XML 2.0 (2005) and 2.1 (2007) formats. In 2008 she led the team responsible for ILTA’s E-Billing Survey of law firms and law departments. In 2012 she led the LOC’s efforts to update UTBMS Activity and Expense Codes used in ebilling; in 2013 she spearheaded the revision of the Timekeeper Classifications used in legal ebilling; in 2014 Jane led the LOC’s review of the Knowledge Management UTBMS Codes proposed by the Yerra Global KM Expert Group; and has participated as a subcommittee member of various other standards developed by the LEDES organization.
