Dr. Utku Pamuksuz is an artificial intelligence researcher with expertise in data science, applied mathematics, and machine/deep learning. He has been teaching advanced data analytics courses at the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). He has been an invited speaker including keynote sessions in academic and professional seminars in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A. in topics ranging from artificial intelligence to predictive analytics in the areas of Management, Finance, Strategy, Healthcare, E-Commerce and Quantitative Marketing. He has been awarded with the Big Data Competition Awards in 2015 and 2016, and UIUC Excellence in Teaching Awards for 3 consecutive years up to date. Aside from academic efforts, Dr. Pamuksuz has also built and maintained strong relationships with industry leader organizations during his research including: State Farm, Goldman Sachs, Grainger, McKinsey & Company, BCG, Deloitte, and KPMG. His recent professional involvements include consulting on machine learning at Gerson Lehrman Group and leading data science projects at State Farm as well as W.W. Grainger. He co-founded Inference Analytics in 2018 getting endorsed as the leading healthcare analytics effort based in Chicago. He holds Ph.D. in IS/Data Analytics from UIUC and MS in Computer Science from Northwestern University. Dr. Pamuksuz is currently the Chief Data Scientist of Inference Analytics and faculty at the University of Chicago.
