David’s career is built at the junction where information technology, management, marketing, and the law converge. With over 15 years of experience in the technology sector as a founder of or working for tech startups, he decided to open a new career focus by attaining an MBA and a law degree at a later stage of his career. As a result of his multi-discipline background, he approaches contracts with caution juxtaposed with a get it signed attitude.
David was hired by Introhive in 2012 and was primarily responsible for bringing the company into Canadian Privacy and Anti-Spam Law compliance. He took a short sabbatical to further my legal career but returned to Introhive as General Counsel and was appointed Data Protection Officer in 2018.
David holds a CIPP/E designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and he has a keen interest in all matters pertaining to privacy law and technology. He has negotiated dozens of international contracts, most of which involved significant privacy law considerations, including GDPR compliance.
He has presented on behalf of Introhive on numerous occasions and delivers privacy and contract training seminars at Introhive on a monthly basis.
