For the past decade, Dan has been working at the leading edge of the emerging practice of Legal Operations. He has established and led Legal Ops teams at both Oracle Corporation and, more recently, at Jabil, Inc., where he currently serves as Sr. AGC, Legal Operations. Prior to Jabil, Dan was the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Elevate Services, Inc., a global provider serving both corporate legal departments and law firms. Dan started his legal career as a litigator with the Chicago-based firm of Swanson, Martin, & Bell. Prior to practicing law, Dan worked in public accounting for the firms of Arthur Andersen LLP and Grant Thornton LLP.
Having joined the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium ("CLOC") as one of its original members, Dan has seen the transformation of the legal operations role from somewhat of a novelty to a critical strategic component of a sophisticated corporate legal department. Dan regularly speaks on the topic of legal operations and has served as a volunteer instructor on the topic of legal operations at both UC-Boulder Law School and Northwestern Law School.
Dan holds a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University, a J.D. from Loyola University, Chicago, and an LL.M in International Law from Stetson University College of Law. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dan currently resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.
