The Enterprise Architecture (EA) group has created a Law Firm Capability Reference Model and will release it for public comment at this session. A capability model is a great way to link firm strategy to action and is a foundational component of EA programs. A reference model lets us all benefit from this substantial amount of work that has identified 400 specific capabilities, and gives us a common language to use with our vendors.
The presentation will explain just what a capabilities model is and how it surpasses lists of applications for managing your firm’s architecture. It will also provide great examples of ways to use this model immediately firm to manage your technology portfolio, evaluate strengths and weakness in your systems and organizations, and make decisions on where to focus resources.
