After joining Markel/Alterra, an international Insurance/Reinsurance company, in 2011, his primary duties include executing projects focused on a variety of applications and infrastructure initiatives as well as maintaining vendor relationships. Initiatives Jason has managed include strategic planning for the risk management software/hardware, upgrading vital, mission-critical systems, and development of a global disaster recovery plan.

Before Alterra, Jason spent 5 years as a Senior Project Manager at Packet360, a national network infrastructure and storage company specializing in Cisco network, phone, security, and wireless implementations for medium-to-large businesses. These projects ranged from small, single office installations to upgrading the entire IP-based infrastructure for multi-hospital clients. Jason was awarded Most Outstanding Performer for the 1st Quarter of 2009. Prior to that, he served in various technology roles managing a suite of applications for United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg.

Jason graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Business Marketing in 2001. Currently living in Richmond, VA, he is a member of the James Madison University Technology Alumni Group and the Project Management Institute. In 2015, Jason became a Certified Scrum Master.
